start of valentine's day card


Hi Daphnee,
Our first date was around Valentine's Day, 30 years ago or so
The first movie we went to see together (ooooh, a real date!) was a romantic number called Dude, Where's My Car?
We watched SpaceX's launch of a smaller rocket while our Westjet flight landed in Florida at around 8pm on 7 Jan 2018 (last month) on a trip down South sans enfants
After the cruise we went to the Kennedy Space Centre. We visited the exhibits and had a tour. It was quite an emotional experience, I wished I was alive during the Apollo era
SpaceX launched the first Falcon Heavy rocket into space on 6 Feb 2018 - it launched Elon Musk's Tesla Roadster into orbit
A really cool dude named Ben donated some of his time to let us track Spaceman in his Roadster. He crunched some numbers and made a website called whereisroadster.com
I made this bit of hypertext for you and now I'm sending you to his website. Buy a "Don't Panic" t-shirt to support his efforts
(also because it's nice when hot chicks where nerdy t-shirts with fast electric cars and references to Hitchhiker's Guide and history-making launches to space)
These are all neat things, so I wrote it all down for the benefit of the internet
